New area: Negombo, Sri Lanka 9/13/06

Hi, Clifford has been transferred to a new area. It is Negombo, Sri Lanka. This will be a change for him. He has been fortunate enough to serve in the two "richest" parts of the Singapore mission. Negombo is a small fishing village. From the photos, this area seems quite poor. Clifford is doing well and loves Malaysia and the people.

Fishing is the big ticket here! This is a photo of fishing drying in the sun, quite common there. YUMMY! below is the main part of town.

This is called the Dutch Canal. The Dutch built this to transport cinnamon on. I can't wait to hear about this area from Clifford! He gets there Friday.
(these photos are off the web).

This area looks similar to some of the areas from my mission.
